Jo-ann Mandy
Clinical Psychologist & Mediator

The therapeutic relationship
Jo-ann believes that the therapeutic relationship is very important in resolving psychological issues and difficult conflicts. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship with her clients is essential to the processes of therapy and mediation. Collaborating with each client to achieve this is of utmost importance to Jo-ann. She is committed to providing a space where clients can work together to achieve their goals, with dignity, privacy and confidentiality as the cornerstones.
Therapeutic approach
Jo-ann is dedicated to providing compassionate care to her clients based on mutual trust, respect, and understanding. She believes that everyone deserves access to exceptional mental health care, and strives to create a therapeutic environment where people can express themselves and receive the support they need to grow and thrive.
The foundations of Jo-ann’s work is based in Humanistic Psychology and Psychodynamic Theory. This means that Jo-ann works from the premise that we are the sum of all our experiences and that the root reasons for our struggles is often unconscious and needs to become conscious. Good therapy allows for greater self awareness, self knowledge and insight with which we can journey forward better.

Holistic approach
By working holistically, Jo-ann considers the person as a whole, recognizing that mental, physical, and emotional well-being are interconnected. This means addressing all aspects of a person’s life and experiences to promote overall well-being and growth.
Jo-ann’s approach is ultimately client-centered and aims to provide a supportive environment for clients to explore their inner selves, gain insights into unconscious influences, and work towards personal growth and overall well-being.
